RIMS opened its 2007 conference and exhibition with a bang, in more ways than one. With 435 exhibitors, and more than 8,000 attendees (not counting exhibitor personnel), the event will register as the largest and most successful in RIMS' history.

With a definitive variety of exhibitors and topics covered in more than 160 educational sessions, the RIMS planners did not neglect claim issues, bringing to the forefront the messages of 61 claim-related exhibitors. Leaders in the claim field included ACE, the American Institute for CPCU, Chubb, CNA, Corporate Claims Management, Crawford & Company, Frontier Adjusters, GAB Robins, The Hartford, McLarens Young International, Sedgwick CMS, Travelers, and Zurich, just to name a few.

The dilemma for attendees was the diversity of the overall program (broken down into 67 categories) and the variety of exhibitors. Then too, there was the vast variety of topics divided into 12 categories, with everything from Claim Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Legal Legislation, Finance, and Legal Legislation.

With such a smorgasbord of options, attendees began their first day at the conference deciding if their pre-registered attendance decisions for sessions were indicative of what they really wanted to take away from the conference and exhibit. In a way, that was a nice dilemma.
