Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said it has acquired Fishermans Insurance Services Inc., doing business as FIS Marine of Seattle. Terms of the deal were not released.
Included in the deal is the agency's affiliate, FIS Insurance Services Inc., the Itasca, Ill.-based insurance broker said.
Founded in 1984, FIS Marine is a full-service marine insurance broker offering all forms of risk management, marine and property-casualty insurance products and services to their Pacific Northwest clients. The firm specializes in commercial marine coverage for the fishing and passenger vessel, tug and barge, and yachting industries.
Robert S. Taylor, Bruce A. Thiffault and their associates will remain in their current Seattle location under the direction of James McFarlane, West Coast regional manager of Gallagher's Brokerage Services Retail Division.
