Etched in Time, a privately held Arizona corporation, recently presented technology that is capable of detecting water leaks in a structure and automatically stops flow at the main water valve.

The technology, referred to as No-Flood Systems, consists of wireless sensors that distributed throughout a commercial or residential property without the need for expensive hard-wiring. The system is supposed to help reduce the $3 billion in water damages that occur each year in the U.S.
