The National Association of Insurance Commissioners has launched a Spanish-language version of its education-based consumer Web site, Insure U.

Walter Bell, NAIC president and Alabama's insurance commissioner, said the Web site is now fully translated into Spanish.

The NAIC said its public education effort includes a new television and radio public service announcement in Spanish, similar to a PSA currently running in English, which educates the public on how to avoid being scammed by fake insurance companies.

Select consumer alerts and consumer-based news releases are now distributed in both English and Spanish, said NAIC.
