The contract between Nemours Children's Clinic, a pediatric specialty clinic with locations in Jacksonville, Orlando, and Pensacola, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida expired on January 1 with no new agreement in place.
The contract between the state's largest health insurer and Nemours, one of the nation's largest child health care providers, covered some 65,000 members with children in Jacksonville, Pensacola, and Orlando. The agreement involved the health products BlueChoice (PPO), BlueCare (HMO) and traditional indemnity (PHS) plans.
