The South Carolina Captive Insurance Association Inc. (SCCIA) announced today that its June meeting will focus heavily on legislative and regulatory impacts that the current congressional session has on the state's captive insurance industry.
The group's 4th Annual Midyear Executive Forum will take place June 19-20, at the Westin Poinsett Hotel in Greenville, S.C.
South Carolina officials said captive insurance programs contribute more than $300 million annually to the state's economy. Captive insurance is a form of self-insurance, an alternative method to managing risk.
