David A. Nadler was named to the new position of vice chairman, office of the chief executive officer, of Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc. in New York.
In his role as vice chairman, the company said Mr. Nadler, 58, will co-lead with fellow vice chairman Mathis Cabiallavetta global efforts to leverage MMC's client relationships across its businesses.
MMC said Mr. Nadler's focus will be on developing new business opportunities from clients who would benefit from the company's positions in the fields of enterprise risk management and human capital consulting.
He will have primary responsibility for developing MMC's major North American account relationships. Mr. Cabiallavetta already serves a similar role internationally as chairman of MMC International.
Mr. Nadler will report to Michael G. Cherkasky, MMC president and chief executive officer. He will serve as a member of the MMC executive committee.
Mr. Nadler was the founder and CEO of the Delta Consulting Group Inc., which joined MMC in 2000 and became Mercer Delta Consulting, LLC. He will continue to directly serve clients as a senior partner and chairman of Mercer Delta Consulting, but a significant amount of his time will now be directed to his new duties as vice chairman, the company said.
