Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Company said it has acquired Portland, Ore.-based Nevin, Works & Associates Inc. (NWA) and its affiliate thinc. USA, LLC, a niche employee benefits consulting company. Transaction terms were not released.

NWA was founded in 1994 as a traditional employee benefits retail agency, focusing on small group insurance sales and service.

Glen Allen, Va.-based HRH said NRA has since grown through strategic partnerships with local medical carriers and other niche markets. In 2004, NWA created thinc. USA to support the production and management of its association programs.

NWA and thinc. USA expect combined revenues of approximately $3.3 million for 2006. David Nevin, president and chief executive officer of NWA, and his team of employees will unite with HRH's existing Portland branch and join its West region under the leadership of West Regional Director William F. Creedon, HRH said.
