Daniel G. Hickey Jr. was named chief executive officer of CRM Holdings Ltd., effective yesterday. He remains chairman of the board.
Martin D. Rakoff, formerly the Hamilton, Bermuda-based carrier's co-CEO and deputy chairman of the board, has resigned to pursue other interests.
Keith S. Hynes, a director and chairman of the company's audit committee, has been appointed deputy chairman of the board of directors replacing Mr. Rakoff.
CRM also announced that Robert V. Polansky has joined the company as senior vice president of sales and product development. He has 19 years experience in the industry, most recently with the insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
As part of Mr. Rakoff's resignation, CRM has filed a registration statement registering the CRM shares owned by Mr. Rakoff in order to allow him to diversify his portfolio, the carrier said.
