Agents with Farmers Business Insurance have access to a Web-based tool that helps determine potential eligibility before contacting prospective customers–saving both the customer and the agent time and effort. Called the Commercial Appetite Guide, the tool assists agents in classifying risks by helping to determine the fit of the prospective business with Farmers current underwriting criteria.

"The commercial markets we serve have very few leaders," says Mhayse Samalya, president of Farmers Business Insurance. "We are committed to deploying tools for our agents to grow their commercial business."

Agent feedback regarding the new Commercial Appetite Guide has been very positive, the company reports. Dee Beaudry from Taos, New Mexico, says: "The Commercial Appetite Guide shortened our training time and made it much easier to give out commercial quotes on the business we want. We've increased the number of quotes tremendously."
