American International Group will pay a quarterly cash dividend of 16.5 cents a share on March 16, 2007 to shareholders of record as of March 2.
The New York-based insurer reported earlier this month that its net income increased 142 percent compared to last year in the third quarter of this year.
AIG said third-quarter net income rose $2.48 billion from $1.75 billion, or 66 cents a share, to $4.22 billion, $1.61 cents a share.
For the nine months, net income rose 6 percent, or $576 million, from $10.03 billion, or $3.82 a share, to $10.61 billion, or $4.04 share.
