CCC Information Services and SCA Appraisal have signed a letter of intent to develop a Web service interface between SCA and the CCC Autoverse Claims Services Network, allowing the two companies to integrate through a framework of Web service interfaces. This integration enables the exchange of critical assignment data, messages, estimates, images, and other documentation in a single electronic location. SCA material damage appraisal clients will be able to receive real-time messaging and assignment status, enhancing the auto claims process to the benefit of insurers, collision repairers, and vehicle owners.
This new interface will complement the existing interface SCA has in place with the ProcessClaims solution. CCC acquired ProcessClaims in May of this year.
"There's a value in eliminating steps when communicating claims information, which leads to automation efficiency–and that is exactly what SCA is achieving," says Michael Croxton, CCC's senior vice president of marketing and product management. "SCA's level of commitment by agreeing to integrate the CCC Autoverse Claim Services and ProcessClaims solutions demonstrates the goal of providing its mutual clients an efficient, effective, and automated workflow."
