Fiserv Insurance Solutions has announced comprehensive benchmark testing confirmed the performance and scalability of its ID3 life and health policy administration system for Tier 1 insurers. The company also announced the release of ID3 version 9.0, one of the largest releases of the ID3 system.

Testing completed at the IBM Benchmark and Proof-of-Concept Center in Rochester, Minn., showed ID3, running on the IBM System i business computing platform, met the processing needs of Tier 1 life and health insurance providers. Interactive and batch transaction speeds were benchmarked at policy counts ranging from 500,000 to two million. The testing benchmarked 1,000 concurrent users processing the most commonly performed transactions, including new business entries, value quotes, policy changes, loans and surrenders, and claims. Version 9.0 includes enhanced functionality to support equity-indexed annuities and long-term care insurance.
