Strength in numbers: Since 1990, Florida’s labor force has grown by more than two million workers, reaching over 8.65 million in 2005. Florida is also a magnet for in-migration, with over 260,000 people moving to the state from other parts of the country, and an additional 90,000 from overseas each year.

Sustained growth: Florida’s labor force is expected to continue this strong growth trend in the new century. By the year 2013, Florida is expected to employ another one million people, bringing total employment in the state to over 9.5 million. This growth ensures a large and talented workforce for sustained business expansion.
