Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and Q.Know Technologies Inc. introduced an IT platform that will allow reinsurers to capture, manage, and access companywide structured and unstructured information in one desktop view. The platform, which integrates CSC's SICS/nt reinsurance administration software with Q.Know's information management tool, enables reinsurers to organize and group related information about any given project, such as a treaty, claim, account, or customer, whether it resides as e-mail, documents, meeting notes, or structured back-office data.
With the new platform, users can access a view of all reinsurance lines of business, including reports on historical activities and current status. Users may drill down to see the latest e-mail exchange with a client, any meetings scheduled, and progress on projects. From within the same platform, they also are able to view notified claims, policy renewal dates, and all other structured information.
"One critical issue our clients face today is their lack of easy access to the most current and complete information," says David Lister, vice president of CSC's Financial Services Group in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. "This new platform will deliver the results our clients need to make more informed, rapid decisions about their business."
"Combining this information with the back-office history or other deal-related data, we collectively can provide the most complete story for compliance and best practices," says Richard E. Meyer, chairman of Q.Know.
