Answers to these questions will help an adjuster determine which insurance relocation provider is best for a specific type of relocation. Many of these questions also are appropriate to ask of corporate housing providers.
- Are there monthly time-frame minimums involved if I use your service to locate properties or to provide furnishings?
- How do you handle billing? Are you able to collect from the policyholder if needed?
- What are the relocation fees? Furnishing fees? Fees for facilitating a hotel stay?
- Is there a cost for a fair rental value analysis?
- How are security and damage deposits handled for the property?
- Are there damage deposits for rental contents items?
- Are there fees related to the set up and delivery of rental contents items?
- Are there mark-ups on property rental rates or other portions of the relocation?
- Are lease agreements furnished?
- Are you available after business hours, weekends, and on holidays?
- How do you handle distraught policyholders?
