NaviSys, Inc., announced a new version of its NaviSys Enterprise Platform that supports the entire policy life cycle, enables business and IT transformation, and supports the service-oriented architecture approach.
Built to J2EE standards for openness and interoperability, NaviSys Enterprise Platform is composed of independent, reusable Java components. In this latest release, NaviSys has divided these components into 30 stand-alone components. In addition, it will publish 1,000 APIs as standardized Web Services and support three new ACORD standards, including new business submission. It also will introduce an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) for standardized communication.
"With our component architecture, NaviSys has supported the philosophy behind SOA for years," says Tom Famularo, senior vice president of technology and development at NaviSys. "But by now strictly adhering to the standard, NaviSys can help life insurance companies implement their SOA strategies. Life insurers can adopt straight-through processing using NaviSys' comprehensive next-generation platform or work toward the ideal future state using NaviSys' best-of-breed components."
