Claims News Service, July 12, 11:21 a.m. EDT — Professional service organizations The Consultants' Training Institute, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and its State Chapter Foundation are offering a three-day workshop, “Natural Disasters and Other Business Interruptions,” to insurance personnel who do work in Florida.

The workshop was designed for claim representatives from major insurance companies or anyone involved in the preparation and calculation of lost profits for claims. It will focus on smaller firms with standard insurance policies and will feature a detailed analysis of the standard business-interruption policy and the fundamentals of calculating business-interruption claims and case studies.

Dates for the workshop are: July 17-19, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Sept. 11-13, San Antonio, Texas; and Nov. 8-10, Salt Lake City, Utah. More information is available at www.nacva.com.
