Audatex, a company of insurance and claim technology service corporation Solera, recently unveiled its ClaimsElement program, which allows collision repair facilities to retrieve data from adjuster estimates electronically.

This server-based program eliminates the need for shops to re-key estimates by retrieving estimate data directly from Audatex in an encrypted format and importing it directly into its Shoplink estimating system. According to Collision Industry Conference surveys, of the nine million auto claims each year, 2.5 million require re-keying. The new technology also claims to eliminate errors that occur as a result of re-keying, thus shortening the repair cycle time.
