Decision Research Corporation, a rating and policy processing software solution provider to the property/casualty insurance industry, announced the availability of its DecisionMaker Rating Enterprise Edition, offering insurers a solution for automated rate program roll-outs and analysis. The new edition integrates the features of other DRC tools–DecisionMaker Rating, DecisionMaker Analyzer, and DecisionMaker Assistant. By combining the technologies into a single product, carriers receive a comprehensive enterprise-capable rating system for better understanding and management of their book of business. Enterprise Edition leverages Microsoft's SQL Server 2005 reporting and analytical services to view and drill into the rating composition.

"While the combined solution is a new offering, the underlying components are widely installed and in production use throughout our user community. With everything provided in a single solution, insurers have a common set of integrated rating tools to address their enterprise rating needs," says Karen Yamamoto, DRC's vice president of product development. "Since we continue to use Excel as the primary modeling tool, the actuaries and product managers have a minimal learning curve to develop their proficiency."
