The Professional Insurance Agents of Washington and Alaska have elected Heidi Duncan-Yonker as their new president and a new board of directors.
Also elected at the group's 40th Annual Conference and Trade Show were: Rich Biggs, president elect; Mark Balcos, vice president; David Babbitt, treasurer; and Barbara Kaiseras, secretary.
In addition to the elections the association gave out five annual awards:
o Jerry Kiser, president of Potter, Leonard & Cahan, was awarded the PIA Agent of the Year Award.
o Sharnel Hawkins, of Bratrud Middleton Insurance, received the PIA Washington CSR of the Year.
o Lynda Colucci, of American International Group, was named the 2006 PIA Washington Company Person of the Year.
o Rich Biggs received the Chairperson of the Year award.
o John Griffin was given the PIA Washington American Association of Managing General Agents Award.
PIA Washington and Alaska, part of the PIA Western Alliance, is celebrating its 75th anniversary.
