Vincent J. Trosino Sr., president, vice chairman and chief operating officer for Bloomington, Ill.-based State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co., will retire at year’s end, the company said.

Mr. Trosino, 65, became president eight years ago. He was named executive vice president in 1987, chief operating officer in 1991 and vice chairman in 1994. He started with the company 44 years ago.
