American Wholesale Insurance Group said J. Scott Reynolds has been named president of AmWINS specialty underwriting division.
The Charlotte, N.C.-based insurance wholesaler said Mr. Reynolds will be responsible for all of AmWINS' program operations and underwriting facilities.
The division is comprised of several in-house binding authorities and six MGA facilities providing property-casualty insurance coverages through retail agencies for specific industry groups and coverage types throughout the United States.
Mr. Reynolds has served as AmWINS' chief actuary since the company was formed in 2002.
