Ed Fernandez has been named president and chief executive officer of Berkeley Heights, N.J.-based Palisades Safety and Insurance Management Corporation, the company said.
He will succeed Gerry Wilson at the private passenger automobile insurance company. Mr. Wilson, Palisades said, will continue to serve the company as co-chairman of the board with Hal Belodoff.
Mr. Fernandez joins Palisades after 19 years with Chubb. His most recent position was chief field officer for Chubb Personal Insurance. Prior to Chubb, he spent 12 years with Crum & Forster.
