Insure U, a new comprehensive program to educate consumers about insurance, will be launched next month, the nation's insurance regulators said.
The National Association of Insurance Commissioners said the opening ceremony will be held March 28 at City University of New York in Manhattan.
NAIC said it will present results of new consumer research on insurance issues at the event as well as previewing the campaign's new public service announcement on fighting fake insurance and putting on mini-classes for consumers that will focus on their insurance needs at different life stages.
Alessandro A. Iuppa, NAIC president and superintendent of the Maine Insurance Bureau, and Catherine J. Weatherford, NAIC executive vice president and chief executive officer, will host the event.
In addition the NAIC said a number of state insurance commissioners will be on hand to lead class discussions.
