Carla A. Hills and William S. Cohen, directors of American International Group, have notified the company they will not seek reelection to the company's board of directors.
In a Securities & Exchange Commission filing Monday, the New York-based insurer, which recently agreed to a $1.64 billion settlement with New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer and other regulators over questionable accounting practices, said Ms. Hills informed the board of her decision on Feb. 7, and Mr. Cohen on Feb. 10.
AIG said Ms. Hills is a member of the audit committee and the nominating and corporate governance committee of the board. Mr. Cohen is a member of the public policy and social responsibility committee of the board.
