Atlanta-based claims management firm Crawford & Company said its Global Marine and Transportation Services unit has been named Lloyd's agent for the entire country of Colombia.

Crawford said it is already the Lloyd's of London Agent in eight Canadian ports including Victoria, Nanaimo, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. Crawford is also the Lloyd's Agent in Anchorage, Ala., and Norfolk, Va.

"This appointment is a reflection of the hard work that has gone into servicing Lloyd's customers in our existing agencies throughout the world," said Jeffrey T. Bowman, chief operating officer, Global Property and Casualty Services.

The Lloyd's Agency System is a worldwide network of more than 350 businesses whose principal function as Lloyd's agent is to provide a range of surveying services to the maritime market.

Situated in most of the main ports and commercial centers around the world, each agent provides independent survey and claims-adjusting services.
