The Casualty Actuarial Society, an organization that provides education and research in the evaluation of hazard risk, has elected Paul Braithwaite, managing director at Navigant Consulting, president. Previously, he was vice president of the society and a member of the board of directors.
Thomas G. Myers, vice president of product management for High Point Safety and Insurance Management, was named president-elect. Most recently, he served on the executive council as vice president of admissions.
ARIAS Elects Board
The Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances (AIDA) Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society, a not-for-profit group that seeks to improve insurance arbitration through training and education, recently elected its board. They are Mary A. Lopatto, LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae law firm, chairperson; Thomas L. Forsyth, Swiss Reinsurance America, president; and Susan A. Stone, Sidley Austin law firm, vice president.
Board members include Elaine Caprio Brady, Liberty Mutual Insurance; George A. Cavell, American Re; Daniel L. FitzMaurice, Day Berry & Howard law firm; and David R. Robb, the Hartford.
