Claims News Service, Oct. 5, 12:38 p.m. EDT — Guy Carpenter, a reinsurance intermediary, has released a report on the newly formed Tropical Storm Tammy. The storm is located approximately 130 miles southeast of Jacksonville in Florida and packs sustained winds of around 40 miles per hour, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC). The storm is predicted to travel in a north-northwest direction and strengthen over the next 12 hours. Tropical storm-force winds extend 115 miles from the center of the storm.
