Two Winners Tapped

As CSRs Of The Year

For the first time, the National Outstanding CSR of the Year Award ended in a tie, so there are two winners for 2005, according to the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.

The 2005 award will be shared by Miranda M. Wescott and Misty L. Kriskovich. Ms. Wescott is a personal account manager working with special personal lines account coverages at Chandler-Frates & Reitz Inc. in Tulsa, Okla. Ms. Kriskovich manages the commercial insurance department for Hobson Insurance in Hobson, Mont.

The panel of judges--which included Sam Friedman, editor-in-chief of National Underwriter--evaluated the finalists based on individual contributions to the insurance community and their essays on ">>The Four Most Constructive Things a Producer Can Do Now to Help CSRs."

Ms. Wescott and Ms. Kriskovich each receive a cash award of $1,000, a gold and diamond lapel pin, and will have their names inscribed on a sculpture on permanent display at National Alliance headquarters in Austin, Texas. A scholarship will be awarded to both of their employers for any National Alliance program.

The three other national finalists were: Cathy M. Cassetta, BB&T/Iler Wall & Shonter Insurance Inc., St. Petersburg, Fla; Diane L. Hodas, Loesel Schaaf Insurance Agency Inc., Erie, Pa; and Carol "Cricket" Mitchell, Premier Insurance in Twin Falls, Idaho. They each receive a gold and garnet lapel pin.
