The Disability Management Employer Coalition has released the latest edition of The Return-to-Work Manual: A Definitive Guide for Employers. The 175 page, step-by-guide to implementing a return-to-work program for injured employees was developed in response to discouraging trends in injury-related employee absence.
The model return-to-work program was designed after studying successful programs implemented by DMEC's 1,200 members, ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies and operating within varied legal and regulatory climates. In addition to programmatic recommendations, the manual includes an overview of federal and state regulation.
