The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies said it has organized its team of lobbyists to push an "aggressive" agenda in state legislatures next year.

Indianapolis-based NAMIC said five regional state affairs managers (SAMs) are in place and will address legislation to beintroduced in the 44 state legislatures holding sessions in 2006.

"NAMIC member companies have established an aggressive advocacy agenda for 2006 and our staff is well placed to provide representation before state legislatures and insurance regulators," said Senior Director of State Advocacy Neil Alldredge.
