Thacher Associates, a New York-based risk management, fraud prevention and business intelligence firm, announced that Alan M. Gershowitz has joined the company as chief operating officer and executive managing director.
Mr. Gershowitz, 47, an attorney, was formerly an executive with Cablevision Systems Corp.
The company said Mr. Gershowitz will oversee all aspects of Thacher Associates' business operations, including strategic planning, administration, human resources, marketing, public relations and new business development. Mr. Gershowitz will also work with the senior management team on potential strategic acquisitions and partnerships.
While with Cablevision, Mr. Gershowitz worked with the firm's Madison Square Garden office heading MSG's Radio City Entertainment Division, and served as executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
Thacher Associates also specializes in the fields of corporate investigations, integrity risk and compliance programs, litigation support, contractor/vendor screening, procurement policy and practices assessments, project audits and monitoring, and due diligence.
