South Carolina Insurance Department Director Eleanor Kitzman has announced changes to her senior management staff and a reorganization that includes the captive insurance division.
Effective immediately, Tim Baker, formerly the deputy director of administration, is deputy director for market services. This includes both the property and casualty and the life, accident and health sections as well as alternative risk transfer services.
Mr. Baker has been with the department for 16 years in various positions, including manager of consumer services and legislative liaison. The department said it is interviewing for an actuary to manage the day-to-day operations of the life, accident and health section.
