Missouri Employers Mutual Insurance (MEM) has joined Trusted Choice, an independent agents branding movement, as its 30th company partner, the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America has announced.
The branding effort was launched in 2001 by the IIABA to promote the benefits independent agencies and brokerage firms offer consumers.
Columbia, Mo.-based MEM is a major insurer in the state, IIABA said. Founded in 1995, the company has nearly 18,000 policyholders and is the number one choice of Missouri employers for workers' compensation insurance, the Alexandria, Va.-based association said. The company writes more than 500 different classes of business throughout the state.
MEM joins 29 other company partners and more than 5,000 independent insurance agencies and brokerage firms throughout the country in the independent agent branding program.
