NU Online News Service, May 16, 10:09 p.m. EDT–Allstate Insurance Company has been selected as one of eight U.S. corporations honored as a "Best Company for Women of Color" in 2005, according to Working Mother magazine.
The other companies chosen by the magazine were: American Express, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, General Mills, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, JPMorgan Chase, and Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
"The companies on our list are leaders in diversity," said Working Mother magazine's deputy editor Della de Lafuente. "They have measures in place to make sure that women of color have the same opportunities for career advancement as everyone else."
