idNET, InStar Integrate Data

NU Online News Service, April 11, 4:15 p.m. EDT?idNET Inc., which does business as Afni Insurance Services, announced a joint effort with InStar today to integrate policy data from the InStar agency management system with CSR24, idNET's customer service solution for both the Web and telephone.[@@]

According to Simsbury, Conn.-based idNET, this effort will enable InStar users to offer Web-based, 24-hour self-service to their policyholders and to have a constant live telephone presence to take policyholder calls.

Afni Insurance Services has begun development on a ?data extract? that enables the CSR24 product to access policyholder data from within InStar's agency management system, the announcement said.

The data extract takes a copy of policyholder data within the management system and then stores the data on secure CSR24 servers for access and transaction requests by policyholders.

Policyholders can perform routine tasks such as viewing their policy, making requests for changes to address, vehicles, coverages, etc., and printing insurance forms such as Automobile ID Cards and Certificates of Insurance.

InStar Corporation is headquartered in Kennewick, Wash.
