PIANY To Honor Nerney
NU Online News Service, March 23, 3:57 p.m. EST?Thomas P. Nerney, chairman, president and chief executive officer of United States Liability Insurance Group in Wayne, Pa., is being honored for his skills dealing with agents and brokers, an agents' trade group said.[@@]
The Glenmont, N.Y.-based Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc. said Mr. Nerney will receive the 2005 Long Island Regional Awareness Program Executive of the Year Award April 21 at the Long Island Regional Awareness Program meeting in Great Neck, N.Y.
The award recognizes an individual from an insurance company, general agency or managing agency who has forged a strong working relationship with agents and brokers in the insurance industry. Mr. Nerney's lengthy career saw him come out of retirement in 1996 to join United States Liability Insurance Group.
"It gives me great pleasure to present this honor to a very deserving individual," said Long Island RAP Chair Peter Resnick. "His dedication is appreciated by everyone.
PIANY is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
