Clark, Marcus, Lloyd's Brokers Of The Year

NU Online News Service, March 1, 9:49 a.m. EST?Lloyd's has named Scott Clark and David Marcus U.S. brokers of the year for 2005.[@@]

Mr. Clark, of Aon Re, was named Reinsurance Broker of the Year, and Mr. Marcus, of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., was named Surplus Lines Broker of the Year.

The two were honored at a ceremony at Lloyd's in London yesterday hosted by Lloyd's Chairman Peter Levene and the president of Lloyd's America, Wendy Baker.

The winners were chosen for their achievements within the U.S. industry and their contributions to the Lloyd's market. They were honored for their ability to use their knowledge and expertise in dealing with the Lloyd's market to deliver exceptional solutions for their clients.

Lord Levene said, "These awards recognize the crucial role that U.S. brokers play in helping customers to meet their risk needs at Lloyd's. Their skills, expertise and experience in working with the market mean they are able to deliver tailored and innovative solutions to their clients worldwide."

The U.S. Broker Awards were established in 2002 to highlight and recognize the role of U.S. brokers in Lloyd's insurance and reinsurance markets.
