Leighton To Lead SRS Cayman Captive Office

NU Online News Service, Feb. 2, 2:36 p.m. EST?Strategic Risk Solutions, provider of captive management, wholesale brokerage and alternative risk transfer solutions, announced the appointment of Nicholas Leighton as director of operations for the company's new Cayman office.[@@]

In this role, Mr. Leighton will oversee new captive formations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and provide customer service for SRS' Cayman clients.

"We were excited by the level of interest generated from both prospective employees and clients by our decision to open a Cayman office," said Brady Young, president of SRS. "After a thorough search, Nick emerged as the clear front runner for this position based on his extensive experience and technical knowledge of the offshore captive market."

He continued that with several clients already under management, "Cayman is set to be one of our fastest-growing offices and we are confident that it will flourish under Nick's leadership."

Mr. Leighton has more than 15 years of experience managing captive insurance companies and most recently was managing director of Caledonian Insurance Services in Cayman.

SRS was approved as an insurance manager by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority in October 2004.
