Darby Named AARIS President
NU Online News Service, Feb. 11, 4:12 p.m. EST?San Francisco-based Acacia Pacific Holding Inc. announced today that it has hired Robert N. Darby to serve as president of American All Risk Insurance Services, Inc., a wholly-owned workers' compensation insurance subsidiary of APH.
Louis B. Rovens, APH chairman and chief executive officer, said Mr. Darby's responsibilities will include managing AARIS' overall marketing and underwriting operations."
Mr. Darby was most recently a managing director with Guy Carpenter & Company, a unit of Marsh McLennan Companies. He began his career with the Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau and has held positions as a principal with the Towers Perrin business unit, Tillinghast, and as a senior vice president with Zurich Reinsurance.
AARIS has provided workers' compensation insurance products and services in California since 1998. In the last seven years, the company said it has calendar-year premium writings in excess of $500 million.
