Securing confidential data just one key area challenging insurer tech department
Corporate governance has emerged as one of the highest priorities for American business leaders. The list ofcompanies involved in illegal or fiscally irresponsible behavior seems to grow each week. Highly-publicized cases remind us how the behavior of only a few individuals can forever tarnish a billion-dollar brand, decimate a stock or run a company into the ground.
The insurance industry is not exempt from the new concerns over corporate governance. Indeed, the sensitive data that insurance companies work with every day claims, medical records, prescription records and financial statements make insurers particularly vulnerable to potential failures in corporate governance.
