Tommy Dietz Receives Woodworth Award

NU Online News Service, Oct. 11, 4:14 p.m. EDT?Thomas "Tommy" J. Dietz was awarded the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America's Woodworth Memorial Award during the opening session of the association's 2004 conference in Orlando, Fla.[@@]

Mr. Dietz is a past president of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York Inc. and served as the state association's representative to the Big "I" National Board of State Directors.

Established in 1925, the Woodworth Award commemorates C.H. Woodworth of Buffalo, N.Y., the second president of the national association. It is awarded to the IIABA member who best demonstrates outstanding service benefiting independent insurance agents and brokers as well as the entire insurance industry.

Mr. Dietz was IIABNY president from 1983 to 1984. He is also a representative on the National Board of State Directors. Most recently, he served on the boards of the IIABA's for-profit subsidiaries?Member Services Inc. and Agency Administrative Services.
