Vermont Captive Seminar Enrollment Deadline
NU Online News Service, Sept. 29, 11:57 a.m. EDT?Tomorrow is the deadline to sign up for the Vermont Captive Insurance Association seminar, Oct. 6 in Chicago, on the benefits of captive insurance.[@@]
The seminar, "Understanding the Strategic Advantages of Captives, Regardless of Market Conditions," is sponsored by the state of Vermont.
VCIA said seminar panelists will come from a variety of captive insurance companies as well as representatives from the Vermont Captive Division.
The decision to form a captive insurer is an individualized process that reflects the needs and interests of each association, corporation or group, VCIA said.
Representatives from two different types of captives will share their processes and experiences at the seminar. Speakers will also describe the captive climate and regulatory requirements in Vermont, the largest U.S. domicile.
Prior to the educational session, there will be a roundtable discussion and luncheon for Captive Owners only. VCIA said the roundtable is an opportunity to discuss and explore issues and challenges unique to captives. Persons with a captive issue they would like to discuss should forward topics to Diane Leach at [email protected].
A late afternoon reception will follow the seminar, VCIA said. The event is free, but attendees must register in advance. For details and online registration visit: http://www.vcia.com/Chicagoevent2004.htm
