Mass. Gov. Signs Beneficial Insurance Law

NU Online News Service, June 25, 3:20 p.m. EDT?Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney today signed a bill that eases regulation of certain commercial insurance policies in Massachusetts.[@@]

The law removes the requirements for prior approval of rates when insurers are issuing policies to a large commercial insurer. House Bill 1700, sponsored by Rep. Ronald Mariano, had been approved by the House in late March and passed by the Senate earlier this month.
