PIA Value Difference Aims At National Exposure
By Mark E. Ruquet
NU Online News Service, March 15, 3:30 p.m. EST?The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents said they are launching a national campaign to expand their agency education improvement program at a grass roots level. [@@]
PIA and its Company Council of Executive Officers said the effort is on behalf of its Value Difference series.
Beginning March 26, PIA kicks-off its inaugural train-the-trainer sessions in Arlington, Va., PIA's headquarters. The purpose, said Patricia A. Borowski, PIA senior vice president of government affairs, is to enable the association's state and regional affiliates to be able to lay the foundation for expansion of The Value Difference program.
Previously, there was more reliance on carriers to teach the program to agents.
"This reorganization will allow the program to be executed at the local level," Ms. Borowski said.
Agents will still have the benefit of working with carrier representatives who help evaluate the agency's performance and direction and meet regularly with the producers to help them reach their performance goals, she said.
More information about the program is available through state and regional affiliates and the PIA-CCEO section on the Web at www.PIANET.com, or by contacting Ms. Borowski at [email protected] or at 703-518-1360.
As reported in the National Underwriter last year (see NU, Jan. 20, 2003), the program is designed to give agents the tools to develop a strategy to produce a successful agency. It involves developing partnerships with regional carriers and carrier representatives in the Company Council (CCEO).
