Ocean Cargo Certs Now On A Travelers Web Site
NU Online News Service, Feb. 3, 12:45 p.m. EST?Travelers Property Casualty Corp. said it will now provide Web-based ability to create and print Ocean Cargo Certificates of Insurance to its Ocean Cargo policyholders and their agents.[@@]
According to Hartford, Conn.-based Travelers, this new online system allows agents, brokers and insureds the ability to:
? Easily enter information directly onto the online certificate;
? View or void previously issued certificates; and,
? Create customized reports of certificate data.
Jerry Minichiello, national director, Travelers Ocean Marine, said the online Ocean Cargo Certificate issuance capability "allows agents, brokers and policyholders to conduct business quickly and efficiently."
Ocean cargo insurance covers various exposures related to the movement of goods. Travelers said ideal customers for the coverage include manufacturers and wholesalers that import and export goods such as metals, textiles, plastics and other consumer products.
A personalized identification number is required for agent access to the Travelers Ocean Cargo Certificate Issuance System, the company said. Registration instructions and more information on the offering are available online at www.travelersmarine.com or through a local Travelers Marine account executive.
