PIFC Picks Coble As 2004 Chairman

NU Online News Service, Jan. 6, 11:52 a.m. EST?Ron Coble, vice president and California state executive director for Farmers Insurance Group, has been elected the 2004 board chairman for the Personal Insurance Federation of California in Sacramento.[@@]

The Federation said its membership of personal insurers writes approximately 44 percent of the personal lines insurance in California and is the largest trade association in the state representing insurers that sell homeowners, earthquake and auto insurance.

In addition to selecting Mr. Coble as chairman, PIFC's December board meeting reelected Dan Dunmoyer as president and Diane Colborn as vice president.

Other officers elected to the PIFC board are: Michael Cassanego, senior vice president and general counsel, 21st Century Insurance Group, as vice chairman; Ed Heffernan, vice president of government relations, Safeco, as treasurer; Mark Niehaus, general manager/western states, Progressive Insurance Group, secretary; and Daniel Kinney, California vice president of operations for State Farm Insurance Companies, member-at-large.
