Chubb Launches ClaimVista
Warren, N.J.-based carrier The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies has introduced a new Web-based application called ClaimVista to brokers and agents.
ClaimVista, the company said, allows agents and brokers to offer prompt customer service by providing them with real-time information about their customers insurance claims.
“Chubb has a reputation for providing world class service; with ClaimVista, we are continuing that tradition,” Mark Korsgaard, managing director and senior vice president at Chubb & Son and also worldwide casualty claim manager, said in a statement. “We expect that ClaimVista will be a fundamental vehicle to help us provide the type of information our agents and brokers need to better manage their customers accounts.
“The feedback we have received from agents who piloted ClaimVista in May was overwhelmingly positive,” he continued. “We expect that to continue as we roll out this application to agents and brokers throughout 2003 and 2004.”
ClaimVista, available on Chubbs password-protected Web site, lets users retrieve real-time data such as claim files, reserve information, total payment amounts and branch information in an easy-to-access format, the company said.
ClaimVista also helps agents and brokers reduce the amount of time and phone calls necessary to prepare customer claim status reports. This, Chubb said, would result in an improved level of customer service. Users can access claims reported on or after Jan. 1, 2003, for personal lines, business automobile, general liability, workers compensation and commercial property accounts through the site.
“ClaimVista also gives us the ability to expand our service offerings as our agents and brokers needs change,” said Mr. Korsgaard.
In the future, Chubb said it plans to introduce enhancements to ClaimVista such as loss runs, a link to the electronic loss application, e-mail notification when a file is closed and survey results.
Agents or brokers who are interested in learning more about ClaimVista should contact their local Chubb office or Stephanie C. Smith at [email protected].
