MTB Acquires N.Y. Agency
NU Online News Service, Oct. 22, 11:04 a.m. EDT?Matthews, Bartlett & Dedecker Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Buffalo, N.Y.-based M&T Bank, has acquired the Lounsbury Insurance Agency in Manlius, N.Y.
The Lounsbury agency was founded in 2001 by Tucker H. Lounsbury, its president. He will become a vice president of MBD and will serve as the manager of the property-casualty insurance operation in the Syracuse, N.Y. region.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
M&T Bank has reported assets of $50 billion.
